MIB - Accident caused by uninsured or untraced driver

MIB was established in 1946 to compensate the victims of negligent uninsured and untraced motorists. Every insurer underwriting compulsory motor insurance in the UK is obliged, by virtue of the Road Traffic Act 1988, to be a member of MIB and to contribute to its funding.

The scheme was set up to ensure that victims of road accidents in this situation are still able to recover compensation.

There are a number of additional rules that apply to claims involving the MIB and it is therefore essential that you have expert legal representation. Carl Millar is an expert in this niche area of law and supervises and co-ordinates all claims involving the MIB at J S Miller.

Please see our page on Road Traffic Accidents for further information about how we can assist you with your claim

Whatever the circumstances of your claim, we at J S Miller are here to listen and do what we can to achieve justice and provide support to you whether we simply answer a few questions you may have or assist you in dealing with a full claim for compensation.
